Rin Yamamura is a theater set designer from Japan. In 2000 she moves from Tokyo to Sofia to study Puppet Design at NATFA (National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts – Sofia). With her graduation performance „The Dinner“ (joint project with Nedko Zhechev) she participated in numerous theater festivals around the world, including Canada, Belgium and Bulgaria. In 2007, she went on a one-month tour in Japan. In 2005, the puppet show „Carlson“ of the theater „SHTE“ received the „IKAR“ award for scenography and puppet design. Rin is also part of the art group Via Pontica, who create street performances and installations presented at theater festivals in Bulgaria and Europe. In addition to puppet design, Rin is involved with illustration and spatial design. In 2011, Rin published her first book, „Alphabet of Love“: an extraordinary explanation of love, combining delicate fragility and striking wisdom.
