Megan Dominescu

Megan Dominescu is a visual artist, living and working in Bucharest, Romania. She graduated from the Department of Painting at the National University of the Arts, Bucharest. Born in the Netherlands to Romanian and American parents, Megan grew up in Washington, D.C. and later moved to Bucharest, Romania.

Megan’s clashing background is a strong inspiration in her practice. Megan’s work is focused on observing and documenting the absurd and celebrating the bizarre. Her work is mainly comprised of textile and painting, often using narratives as a structural element. Megan is represented by Anca Poterașu Gallery in Bucharest. She is a founding member of the artist collective MOXA20.
