INA VALENTINOVA
Ina Valentinova is a contemporary artist, art therapist and pedagogue. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Textile – Art and Design from the Sofia National Academy of Art, and a master’s in Art Therapy from Veliko Tarnovo University, where she’s currently a PhD student in Fine Arts Teaching Methodology. She specialized in Autonome Beeldende Kunst at Academie Minerva, Groningen, Printmaking at Akademia Sztuk Pięknych, Wrocław, and Fine Arts Pedagogy at Universitatea Națională de Arte, Bucharest. She has a post-graduate degree in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, RU „Angel Kanchev“, and her studies in Bulgaria have been supported by alternative educational courses such as the Curator School, Swimminpool Project Space, School for Young Contemporary Artists, and Institute of Contemporary Art, Sofia. In her personal work, the idea of animism is actively present, which she presents as the attitude and sensitivity of people to their environment. The themes in her exhibitions and workshops are often a reaction to the global environmental and political situation.
