Fokion Xenos

Fokion Xenos is an animation director and designer based in Athens. As an animation filmmaker, he focuses on playful, bold stories that highlight visual storytelling and emotional honesty. Emphasizing humor and color, he blends practical and digital techniques to craft unique images. His graduation film „Heatwave“ from the National Film & Television School has won awards at renowned festivals, including the Edinburgh Int. Film Festival, Cinekid, Athens Int. Film Fest, and AnimaSyros. It has also competed in over 60 international festivals, such as Annecy, Anima Mundi, Encounters, and LIAF, and was shortlisted for the Student BAFTA in LA. Recently, he has been living and working in Athens as a freelance animation director (co-directing the children’s animation series „Gegone“ for ERT, 2022), educator (University of West Attica, Postgraduate Animation Department), and producer of animation films and series (Mr Paper Season 2). He also served as the secretary and member of ASIFA Hellas from 2023 until 2026, the Greek animators’ association.
