Aleksi Ivanov

Aleksi is a street artist, muralist and illustrator born in Varna, Bulgaria, currently living and working in Sofia. He is a co-founder of CITYWISE foundation, active force in Bulgarian street art – they organise an international graffiti festival, do systematic urban interventions, curate multiple art projects. Starting with tags and stickers, during the years Aleksi developed his style and started using urban shapes and objects in his works. He always creates his art in the context of the environment – street electricity boxes, interior and exterior murals, 3D objects and canvases, posters and postcards. He is always on the lookout for extra/ordinary objects and claims that every city has something genuine to offer in its urban environment. Lately he is exploring digital illustration as a new medium for his artworks.
